No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to the underworld, don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.

Hades is the Estrium God of the dead, riches and is the King of the Underworld.

The God of Riches, Lord of the Underworld himself, Hades, is a force to be reckoned with. His story is one that many know of - the jealous elder brother, wrought with frustration because of the chaos his youngest brother could cause without facing the consequences. It was bad enough that Zeus took his place as King of the Gods without so much as a diplomatic vote from the rest of the Gods. The position simply fell into his lap, and consequently the same happened for Hades. Contrary to popular belief, he has always taken great pride in his work and taken care of each soul that enters his realm.

Since setting his eyes on the beautiful Goddess of Spring, Hades quickly learned to value the balance of both life and death, and he wanted just a tiny piece of that life all for himself. In a series of rash decisions, the Lord of the Underworld rose from the ground, invading Persephone’s meadow, before kidnapping her right in front of her mother’s watchful eye. There was nothing that Demeter could do to stop him, and both the Spring Goddess and the Underworld King vanished beneath the earth.

Years passed - years throughout which Hades tried his best to win his new spring bird over. It took time, a long, long time, but he was a patient man, and he soon found that kind gestures were the way to her heart. For the first time in his existence, Hades had found a reason for the compassion that was buried deep in his heart. He had fallen hopelessly in love with Persephone, and on that fateful day when she voluntarily ingested six of those pomegranate seeds, he knew that his love was reciprocated.
