Apollo is the Estrium God of music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge.
The walking personification of sunshine, Apollo has always liked to think of himself as the light in everyone else’s lives. He has always been, and always will be, a man of leisure, choosing to rise when the sun did and sometimes even staying awake to greet the same sun the next morning. Enjoying the expensive things in life, Apollo had a taste for fine wine and even finer women, and spent the majority of his time entertaining company on Mount Olympus as and when he could. Music was his favourite form of entertainment, and with just his golden lyre he was able to ensnare the attention of anyone who wished to listen. He was a gifted musician, far more talented than those who call themselves music maestros in the modern world, and he made sure that everyone was aware of it.
Apollo was known for his love of fooling around - in more than one sense of the word. He had a childish side that only few had the time or patience to indulge, a side which clashed with his love of fooling around with others. Gender mattered little to him, he just enjoyed the attention that he could demand from lesser beings; Mortals, Sirens and especially the Nymphs. The Nymphs were his absolute favourites - delicate, natural creatures who never shied away from showing him their love - and he would bask in it every chance that he got. Apollo’s twin sister, Artemis, was less than pleased with his antics. She thought him nothing but irresponsible and reckless - the two could not have been more different than one and other. They bickered constantly, not unusual for siblings, but if either was threatened then may the Gods help the perpetrator. Despite their constant disagreements, Apollo would stop at nothing to protect his sister.
